Harry Donald ALLINGHAM was born August 17, 1917, in Michigan. 1st Lieutenant in company D of the 517th Parachute Infantry Regiment, he will be killed on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1944, in Soy, Belgium during the Ardennes offensive. . On this morning of 7 January 1945, the men of the 551st parachute battalion were next charged with taking the village of Rochelinval, Belgium, along the Salm River.
