Second Lieutant GRAHAM , army serial number 0-691991 , was born on the 31 of august 1921 and have been killed during the crash of B24 bomber serial number 42-78202 in the woods between villages of Saint Martin de Pallière, Varages and Brue Auriac Southern France on the 12 of july 1044 at about 10 am aged of 22. Boddy was sent back to United stades and he is burried at Calvary cemetery, woodside, Queens, New York.

Lt. Frank DENSTAD was killed in action on July 12, 1944 on a mission to Nimes, France. Aircraft was shot down by enemy fighter planes near Saint Martin de Palière, France. He was a co-pilot of a B-24G Liberator bomber (AAF S/N 42-78282) with the 766th Bomb Sq (H), 461st Bombardment Group, 15th Air Force stationed in Torretta, Italy. Frank graduated from Granite High School and enlisted in June, 1942. He was assigned to overseas duty in January 1944 and had completed 32 missions over enemy...

Après le second conflit mondial, des tonnes d'équipement militaire de l'armée américaine sont restés sur les champs de bataille. La plupart ont étés détruits mais beaucoup ont étés utilisés par la population civile. Très peu ont survécus après plus de 75 ans. Cette histoire commence en août 1944 lorsque Pierrot, un jeune garçon français de douze ans d'un petit village du sud de la France, jouait après l'école dans les planeurs qui venaient atterris dans les vignobles autour...
