He voluntered for paratroopers and was graduated on the 27 of september at Fort Benning Georgia. Dick SEITZ was born in Leavenworth, Kansas on Feb. 18, 1918, he grew up in that city and then attended Kansas State University where in 1939 as a junior he began dating his first wife, Bettie Jean MERRIL.
