Jean LE THIES né le 16 octobre 1922 à Brech, dans le Morbihan. Il entre à l'école d'apprentis de la marine en Octobre 1938. Le 1er juillet 1939 il est promu matelot de seconde classe et est affecté sur le croiseur "Courbet". Le 1er juillet 1940 il devient Matelot de première classe canonnier. Joseph Mc GEEVER was born August 2, 1918, in Anaconda, Montana. He study in Montana state school and was a State college football star in the Bobcat Grid team, from 1938 to 1940. He graduated from the electrical engineering department in 1941.He enlisted in the army in February, 1942, and went overseas in May 1944, serving in Italy before the invasion.

Né aux Arcs le 13 Avril 1921, il est le frère ainé de Joseph SOLDI. Ensembles ils seront recrutés par le commandant BLANC, et deviendrons des combattants volontaires de la résistance locale sous l'égide du mouvement COMBAT. Ils habitaient tous deux à la ferme familiale des Cognasses au Sud des Arcs, il prendra part avec son frère et le groupe local a des actions de sabotage des voies ferrées.
